Creative Ways to Get in on the 2014 Spring/Summer Floral Fashion Trend

Floral prints were seen all over the runway in 2014 spring/summer designer collections from Christian Siriano to JCrew.  If you are like me, you may be a little timid to carry off this bold statement in your clothing.  So here are a few other ways you can stay on trend with these accessories.

JEWELRY

Flowers can be frilly but don't have to be. Look for pieces that go with your style whether you are a rocker or a romantic.

Right:  Stainless Steel Flower Necklace, Adjustable Flower Ring

LAPEL PINS

One overlooked accessory is the lapel pin. They are great worn on a blazer or sweater but you can use them in so many ways...to decorate a hat, a scarf, your purse, your shoes.  I've even used them as curtain tie backs.
Right:  Blue Flower Lapel Pin and Large Hot Pink Filigree Flower Pin

MAGNETS

Not just for your refrigerator!  They can be used to decorate metal boxes and lamp bases.  If you would like to get more creative, frame a metal sheet, hang on the wall and use magnets like knobs to hold your jewelry.  Decorative magnets are also a great way to spruce up your office.  Try posting on the front of shelves/cabinets to hold up schedules, pictures or paperwork.
Right:  Large Flower Magnet and Small Flower Magnet Set

Would love to hear your thoughts on this trend.  Will you embrace it?  If so how?  Please leave your comments below.
